Hi, I’m Marita, and I run Keep Quilting in partnership with my husband Charles. We started business in 2005 with a product that he invented for me. When I struggled with the ruler slipping and was going to give up this wonderful craft I’d discovered, he put his creative brain to work and the RuleSteady was born. When I showed it to Therese Hylton from Patchwork Pumpkin, she was very enthusiastic and understood how many people it could help, so we ventured out and Keep Quilting was born. We stopped making the RuleSteady in May 2021, mainly due to the difficulty in obtaining raw materials during the Covid-19 pandemic. There is a possibility we will start making it again at some point, but for now that is off the cards.

We are in Victoria, on the Mornington Peninsula. My main supplier is Victorian Textiles – the home of Matilda’s Own products. For square rulers, long rulers, a huge assortment of patchwork templates, lots of different threads & handy notions, check out their website www.victoriantextiles.com.au and if they have it in stock, I will get it for you (and probably add it to my site as well) .
