Speaking of birthdays, my delightful daughter-in-law just turned 30 ! Hard to believe it, makes me feel soooo old. We had a lovely afternoon celebrating with her family and some friends. I was in charge of the cupcakes (about 6 dozen) - since I've finally finished studying I actually got back into the kitchen willingly for the first time in a long time. It was FUN. Well, not the washing-up part, that was far from fun, but it was great to enjoy some baking again. And, they were delicious, if I say so myself!
On a more business-like note, I've been frantically busy getting my web design site up and running - finally went live the day before yesterday. You can view it here if you like. My new blog will be up and running soon, but until then I thought I'll just continue with this one, seeing as I haven't had it running very long.
I had an interesting weekend at Lang Lang, caught up with loads of people, chatted exhaustively with everybody within earshot; saw some brilliant talent; and introduced a couple of new products, the main one being the 'Dark Be Gone' lights you can see below. I had these set up on a stand on my stall, and people were just blown away by how great they are! You think your sewing machine light is ok? Or that you can see just fine using a lamp, etc., let me tell you - these things will change your sewing life! Even black on black at night is possible with these (unless you're too tired to keep going). AND as an introductory offer, I'm offering Free Shipping on these. Only until I run out of my current stock, then it'll be back to normal.
The odicoat is great fun - have a look at the front page here (scroll down to watch a demo). Heaps of different projects you can use this on.
And of course, my ruler and template holder. Holds 7 rulers or template pieces - and your rotary cutter fits in-between! Perfect accompaniment to the RuleSteady. Now with felt feet, so easy to move around on the table if you need to give it a nudge.
